After a long journey of rebuilding our plugins from Divi 4 to Divi 5, we are excited to announce that our powerful plugin Divi Contact Form Helper is now fully compatible with Divi 5! 🎉
The updated version of Divi Contact Form Helper will continue to work with Divi 4, but you can now also use it with Divi 5. Moving forward, all new features will be added to the Divi 5 version only. This update also introduces our new Universal Divi Plugin Interface to the Divi 5 version only, which all our Pee-Aye Creative plugins have been adopting one by one.

Compatible With Divi 4 and Divi 5
Whether you’re still using this plugin on Divi 4, upgrading from Divi 4 to Divi 5, or starting fresh with Divi 5, the process is simple, automated, and uses the same file. Please review our notes below for each scenario to understand what to expect.
Please note that Divi 5 is still under active development. Elegant Themes continues to make changes and improvements, which means we may need to release minor updates along the way to maintain full compatibility. Since Divi 5 itself is still in beta, our plugin compatibility is also considered beta for now. That said, all features are already working as expected. If any compatibility issues arise with future Divi 5 updates, we will release fixes or adjustments in follow-up plugin updates, so be sure to keep your plugin updated to the latest version.
Continuing To Use Divi 4
If you’re still using the Divi Contact Form Helper plugin with Divi 4, you can update it like any other update, and everything will continue working as usual. As needed, we will continue to support the Divi 4 version with any bug fixes. All new main features will only be developed in Divi 5 moving forward to avoid building everything twice, and to reduce our costs, a decision we are forced to make after a very financially stressful few years rebuilding everything from the ground up.
Installing Fresh On Divi 5
If you’re installing Divi Contact Form Helper 2.0.0+ for the first time on a Divi 5 website, you’re all set! This is the best approach, and there should be no issues at all. You can get started with the new backend settings interface and enjoy our plugin’s features!
Updating From Divi 4 to Divi 5
If you are updating from Divi 4 to Divi 5, the same plugin file works for both versions. The key difference is that now you will see the new backend settings interface in Divi 5. All settings from the Divi Theme Options in the Divi 4 plugin will now be migrated to the new interface. We recommend double-checking everything to be sure your settings are correctly configured after the migration.
This update also includes full module migration capability, allowing you to migrate your existing contact form settings from Divi 4 to Divi 5. Because Divi 5 is still in beta and the migration process is highly complex for a plugin of this nature, we strongly recommend testing all migrations on a staging site first. After migrating, please review your settings, especially custom field types such as file uploads and date pickers. We do not expect issues, but if anything unexpected occurs, please report it, and we will improve the plugin as needed.
Note that all settings previously found in the backend Divi Theme Options are now located in our own interface. Also, note that custom text settings that were previously in the backend are now in the module. For example, instead of setting custom text for the file upload field or signature field, you can now do that directly in each module in the field options.
Visual Builder Support
One of the most exciting parts of this update is that Divi 5 now renders our custom settings! That means everything we’ve added, like file upload fields, date pickers, star ratings, field descriptions and labels, error messages, and more, are visible when editing in the builder. This is a huge step forward, something we’ve anticipated for a long time, and we hope you enjoy the extra effort we put in to make this work smoothly.
Custom Settings In Field Type
Another very big change is that Divi 5 allows us to place our custom settings in the field type dropdown, where it makes sense. We tried to do this in Divi 4, but it was not possible. This is a really nice improvement!
The New Backend Settings UI
Another exciting aspects of this update is the new backend plugin settings interface for the Divi 5 version. This universal UI is being rolled out across all of our plugins and is designed to make setup easier, settings more consistent, and the overall experience with our product more helpful and intuitive.
- A cleaner, more modern design
- Easier navigation and settings management
- Built-in communication and feature request tools
- Much simpler license key management
This new interface is a huge step forward and will make managing Divi Contact Form Helper (and all of our other plugins) much smoother. Again, this is only for Divi 5, while Divi 4 users will continue to see the old interface.
Thank You To Our Beta Testers
We want to thank all of our customers who helped beta test this plugin during the transition to Divi 5. Your feedback and bug reports were invaluable in getting us to this release! Please continue to submit bugs through our normal support form, and we will release updates as needed.
REMINDER: If you installed a beta version of our plugin for testing, you will unfortunately need to download the updated file from your account and install it over the old file, since there was no update system in the beta file.
A New Chapter for Pee-Aye Creative Plugins
The Hard Work Behind Us
The release of this Divi 5-compatible version marks more than just an update. It’s the start of a new chapter for Pee-Aye Creative plugins. Over the past year, we’ve invested significant time, effort, and financial resources into rebuilding our products for Divi 5. This was a massive undertaking, and to be honest, it was exhausting, expensive, and stressful. But we are deeply committed to the Divi community, and our goal is to ensure our plugins remain compatible, relevant, and future-ready for many years to come.
New Feature Development
While this was a massive and necessary effort, it meant fewer opportunities to release new features along the way. As a result, we now have a long list of ideas, feature requests, and improvements that have accumulated.
Now that the Divi 5 foundation is in place, we’re excited to shift our focus back to expanding features, releasing improvements, and delivering on the long list of ideas and requests that have accumulated. You can expect to see steady progress and exciting new updates going forward.
We plan to overhaul the entire “entries” feature in the database, with a new UI that will bring additional functionality. And we have an extremely long list of every feature request we have ever received. It’s very long, and we will start working through it.

Is it possible to use the the contact form helper as a way to “share” my page, like the DiviMenus that Elegant Themes promotes? I’d rather use you plugin if possible.
Hi Karen,
Sharing a page would not be related to a menu, but rather to a social sharing function. We do have the Divi Social Sharing Buttons Maker module here: https://www.peeayecreative.com/product/divi-social-sharing-buttons-maker/
