New Feature Overview
This update is all about adding dynamic content support in Divi modules for the Advanced Custom Fields (ACF) Options Pages. There isn’t a lot to showcase, since the main features are all programming, but I’ll try to demonstrate the basics.
What Are ACF Options Pages?
Normally, custom fields are associated with a specific page, and you enter the data into the fields in the backend of the same page where you see the data on the frontend. An Options Page, on the other hand, is a global location with custom fields that are not associated with a specific page. This opens up so many possibilities with dynamic content in Divi! Please visit the ACF Options Page documentation on the ACF website to learn more.
What Exactly Does This New Feature Do?
To put it simply, this new feature adds the custom fields from any ACF Options Page into the Dynamic Content popup list inside any Divi module. Without the Divi Dynamic Helper plugin, you will only have the standard items and would not be able to see or connect to the custom fields in the Options Pages.
General Support
In general, any of the Divi modules and inputs that support Dynamic Content will work with the ACF Options Pages feature.
Image Support
I am happy to say that this feature includes dynamic Divi Image module support with the ACF PRO Gallery field when used in Options Pages. This means you can upload an image to a custom field in your main dashboard, and it will dynamically display in a Divi Image module on any page on your site!
Gallery Support
We are pleased to also include dynamic Divi Gallery module support with the ACF PRO Gallery field when used in Options Pages. This is pretty great, especially for client websites. This means a user can add images to a gallery from a central location, and they will dynamically display in a Divi Gallery module anywhere you place it on your site!
