Overview
When working with complex layouts filled with dynamic content, it can be difficult to quickly identify which elements are dynamically powered and where their values are coming from. The Divi Dynamic Content Helper plugin solves this by adding a subtle visual indicator around any dynamic content field in your Divi layout, including text and images populated from posts, users, taxonomies, or custom fields.
Only For Logged-In Admins
The Highlighted Dynamic Content feature makes these dynamic fields immediately visible to logged-in administrators, providing a safe, non-intrusive way to see what content is dynamic without affecting what visitors see. You can choose to highlight different types of dynamic fields, including Divi’s default dynamic content, Divi variables, inline variables, and global dynamic content sources, giving you control over what is emphasized in your workflow.
NOTE: This feature is only available in Divi 5 and is not available in Divi 4. Limitations in Divi 4 made it difficult or impossible for third-party developers to extend or customize certain functionality. We’re excited that Divi 5 provides more freedom and opportunities to build advanced features like this, and we hope you enjoy the new features we are able to create now.
How To Use
To start using the Highlighted Dynamic Content feature, go to the Pee-Aye Creative menu in your WordPress backend, then select Divi Dynamic Content Helper. In the plugin settings interface, open the Highlighted Content tab from the left sidebar.
From there, enable the main feature setting, and additional settings will appear, allowing you to select which types of dynamic content you want to highlight. You can choose to include Divi’s default dynamic content, Divi variables, inline variables, and global dynamic content sources. This gives you full control over what is visually emphasized.
Once configured, open any page, post, or template in the Divi Builder or frontend. All dynamic fields will now display subtle visual indicators, allowing you to immediately see which elements are dynamically powered. This makes it easier to audit layouts, troubleshoot templates, and confidently manage dynamic content-rich pages.
