The Reason We Created Divi Events Calendar
Support For The Events Calendar Free
The Divi Events Calendar plugin began with a simple goal: to integrate the free version of The Events Calendar plugin with the Divi Builder. Without our plugin, there was no native way to display events dynamically in Divi.
Our solution was to create custom Divi event modules that fully support all features of the free version of The Events Calendar, allowing users to display and style events within the Divi Builder. This innovative idea quickly became the foundation for what is now a powerful plugin used by hundreds of thousands of websites.
Expanding to The Events Calendar Pro
Initially, our focus was solely on supporting the free version of The Events Calendar. The Pro version already allowed users to display events using shortcodes, so additional support wasn’t immediately necessary. However, as our plugin grew, we received countless requests to integrate more advanced features from The Events Calendar Pro and its addons into our custom Divi event modules. Today, Divi Events Calendar supports many key features of the Pro version and several addons, giving you the ability to display these features directly in Divi modules with unmatched design and customization options.
Supported Features From The Events Calendar + Pro + Addons
Divi Events Calendar seamlessly integrates with The Events Calendar and The Events Calendar Pro, as well as some of their popular addons. This integration enhances your ability to display and customize events in Divi, giving you complete control over how events appear on your site. Below is a list of the key features from The Events Calendar and its Pro version that are fully supported in our Divi Events Calendar modules:
Supported The Events Calendar “Pro” Features & Addons
- Recurring Events
Support for recurring events is included, allowing you to display these events easily in both the Events Feed and Events Calendar modules. Simply toggle the setting in the modules to show your recurring events. - Series Support
You can now display events by series in both the Events Feed and Events Calendar modules, as well as in the Events Page module. You can also show the series name and link in each of those modules, providing a more dynamic way to organize and display events. - Tickets & RSVP Module
While basic support for events created with The Events Calendar’s free Event Ticket plugin is available, we plan to add additional design settings once Divi 5 updates are complete. This module allows you to show ticket and RSVP information for your events. - Events Search & Filter
The Events Filter module offers enhanced filtering options, surpassing the functionality of the Filter Bar from The Events Calendar. With Divi’s extensive design settings, you have complete control over how filters are displayed and used with the Events Feed module. This module is fully available for the free version of The Events Calendar as well. - Organizer & Venue Dynamic Events + Pages + Links
We’ve integrated the ability to link organizer and venue names directly to their respective pages. The Events Feed and Events Calendar modules work dynamically with these pages to show relevant events, improving navigation and user experience. - Virtual Events
Support for virtual and hybrid events is included, allowing you to display relevant information and videos directly in the Events Feed, Events Calendar, Events Filter, and Events Page modules. This ensures a smooth experience for both organizers and attendees.
What About Other Features?
If you are using an addon or feature from The Events Calendar that isn’t mentioned here, it means it is not currently included in our Divi modules. However, we’re constantly working to expand our plugin’s capabilities, and we welcome feature requests. If there’s something specific you need or would like to see, don’t hesitate to reach out to us. We are always striving to improve and enhance the integration.
One of the more common requests is about support for The Events Calendar’s Additional Fields feature. Unfortunately, we do not have any integration for adding custom fields to our modules. We are open to considering this in the future after the Divi 5 work is completed and once we assess how it could work within the Divi module user interface.
