Miscellaneous Settings Overview
The Divi Responsive Helper plugin includes several features to adjust the default spacing and sizing of sections and rows in the Divi Builder:
- Section Default Top/Bottom Padding
- Row Default Top/Bottom Padding
- Row Default Width
- Row Default Max Width
The purpose of these layout features is to make it easier for you to make your Divi website responsive. Rather than looking through the Customizer for these hard to find or missing features, or editing each section or row, we have added them all to Theme Options to make it super convenient for you to adjust the default settings in the Divi Builder all from one location. In this document, we will explain what each of these features are and what they do and how to use them.
To begin using the layout settings, go to the Divi>Theme Options. There you will see a new tab that our plugin adds called “Divi Responsive Helper.” Once you click on that, you will see more tabs. Click on the “Layout” tab to see all of the individual layout features in the plugin.
Section Default Top/Bottom Padding
These three settings allow you to easily set the default top and bottom padding on Desktop, Tablet, and Phone for all the sections on your website. The new settings in Theme Options correspond to those found in the Customizer, and each location updates when you change the other. It is important to note which settings use percentage units and which ones use pixel units. The Divi Customizer uses a percentage value for the top and bottom padding on Desktop, and a pixel value for the top and bottom padding on Tablet and Phone. Also note that these global settings are default but can be overridden by adjusting the padding in any section.
