Overview
Over the past few years, the Divi Theme and Builder have undergone a major transformation, with a complete rewrite of the core builder. This long-term project is culminating in Divi 5, the foundation for Divi’s future.
Because of these core changes, all third-party plugins like ours must also be rebuilt to remain compatible and supported moving forward. We’ve spent the past several years fully committed to this massive effort, investing significant time, energy, and financial resources. That hard work is now paying off, and we’re steadily rolling out Divi 5 compatibility across our plugins.
Please read this entire guide carefully before updating. It includes essential details, potential risks, and our planned timeline. This is an important transition, so we encourage you to take your time and follow the information step-by-step as we move into a new era of Divi together.

Merged Into Divi Assistant For Divi 5
We announced in our January 2026 newsletter that Divi Taxonomy Helper is being merged into our Divi Assistant plugin.
As part of our ongoing efforts to streamline our Divi plugin offerings, we’ve decided to integrate the features of Divi Taxonomy Helper into Divi Assistant. This update will be rolled out later this month, making these powerful tools available directly within the Divi Assistant suite.
Originally developed as a standalone plugin, Divi Taxonomy Helper served a specific niche. It was our smallest plugin in terms of both sales and features, and with most users already using Divi Assistant, it made more sense to include these tools within Divi Assistant. The transition is happening now, during the Divi 5 update, which seemed like the perfect time to make this move.
All existing features will continue to work as expected, and there will be no need to reconfigure anything. The module will still display taxonomy terms as before, and other features will be relocated to appropriate areas within Divi Assistant. For example, there will be a dedicated “Taxonomy Helper” tab for most settings, like enabling image support on taxonomies, setting default taxonomy term images, and showing those images dynamically in the Theme builder. Other settings for the Blog module and Woo Products module to filter posts by the current taxonomy level (a pretty cool feature!) will now be placed under the newly added “Module Helper” tab, organized into “Blog” and “Woo Products” sub-tabs.
This merge is a key milestone in the evolution of Divi Assistant. The “Module Helper” tab will now serve as the hub for future features and updates to existing plugins, kicking off what we’re calling Phase 2 of Divi Assistant. Stay tuned for even more exciting new features coming soon!
