Overview
The Divi Timer Pro plugin comes with three types of countdown timers, Auto-Restart, Evergreen, and Standard. Each of our three timer types serve different needs and require different settings. However, each of the timers need a starting point that determines when the countdown timer should start. This guide will teach you about each of these options.
What Are Timer Start Triggers?
A timer Start Trigger refers to the action that determines or prompts the timer to start counting down. The available dropdown list of start triggers depends on the timer type that is chosen, since Evergreen, Auto-Restart, and Standard each require relevant starting actions. Some of the available options include when a visitor lands on the page, choosing a date and time, or starting immediately.
Start Triggers work in tandem with End Triggers. They are each separate settings that are coordinated with each other. If a certain Start Trigger is chosen, then it may limit which End Trigger options are available. Likewise, if a certain End Trigger is chosen, then it may limit which Start Trigger options are available.
Note that some of the Start Triggers only apply and are visible depending on which Timer Type is chosen. This is simply due to the nature of each Timer Type, since some naturally require one specific Start Trigger or End Trigger, while others allow for more trigger options from which to choose. Be sure to check our timer End Triggers guide to learn more.
