Spam protection is an essential aspect of managing any website with contact forms, and our Divi Contact Form Helper plugin provides several options to safeguard your form submissions. In addition to our existing Honeypot, blacklisting, and Google reCAPTCHA v2 features, we are excited to introduce Cloudflare Turnstile as a privacy-friendly alternative. You can explore our full list of spam protection features in this section of our documentation.
Cloudflare Turnstile offers a streamlined way to protect your forms from spam while keeping your users’ privacy intact. Unlike traditional CAPTCHA services, Turnstile ensures the same level of protection without tracking user data, making it an ideal solution for websites with strict GDPR or privacy policies.
In this tutorial, I will explain why Cloudflare Turnstile might be your preferred spam protection option and how to use our plugin to set it up with the Divi Contact Form module.

Why Use Cloudflare Turnstile?
While services like Google reCAPTCHA are effective, they may not be suitable for every website. Here are a few reasons why some users might prefer Cloudflare Turnstile:
- Privacy Focused: Turnstile does not rely on tracking user activity across websites, which makes it a more compliant solution for websites bound by stringent privacy policies, such as GDPR.
- User Experience: Turnstile offers a smoother user experience compared to CAPTCHA systems, which often require users to complete tedious puzzles or image verification steps.
- Modern and Lightweight: It is a newer option that is fast and efficient, meaning it won’t slow down your site while providing essential spam protection.
How To Set Up Cloudflare Turnstile in Divi Contact Form Helper
1. Install The Divi Contact Form Helper Plugin
To enable Cloudflare Turnstile and other premium spam protection features, you’ll first need to install and activate the Divi Contact Form Helper plugin. While the default Divi Contact Form offers basic functionality, our plugin significantly enhances it by adding advanced settings like various spam protection options, including Cloudflare Turnstile.
Most of our readers are likely already using the plugin or are part of the Divi Adventure Club Membership, but if you haven’t installed it yet, this is the first step to utilizing these powerful features.
2. Get Your Cloudflare Turnstile Site Key and Secret Key
To start using Cloudflare Turnstile, you’ll need to obtain your site key and secret key. Follow these steps:
- Log in to your Cloudflare dashboard (an account is required).
- Select Turnstile from the left navigation.
- Create a new Turnstile widget.
- Copy the site key and secret key—you’ll use these in the next step.
For more detailed instructions, I recommend checking out Cloudflare’s official Turnstile setup guide. Since I’m not an expert on Cloudflare itself, this resource will help guide you through any additional steps or configurations.
3. Enter Your Turnstile Keys in Divi Theme Options
Once you have your site key and secret key from Cloudflare, the next step is to add these keys to the Divi Theme Options. This ensures that the Cloudflare Turnstile spam protection is applied globally across all contact forms on your site, rather than entering them within each Contact Form module.
To do this, navigate to Divi > Theme Options in your WordPress dashboard. Scroll down to the Spam Protection section (this section is added by our Divi Contact Form Helper plugin), where you will see dedicated fields to enter your Turnstile site key and Turnstile secret key.
Simply paste the keys you copied from Cloudflare into their respective fields. Once you’ve entered both keys, click Save Changes to ensure the settings are applied.
4. Enable Cloudflare Turnstile In Each Contact Form Module
After entering your site key and secret key in the plugin settings in Divi Theme Options, you need to enable Cloudflare Turnstile within each Divi Contact Form module individually. Go to any page where you have a Divi Contact Form module and open the settings. Scroll down to the Spam Protection toggle and enable the Use Cloudflare Turnstile setting.
Once the feature is enabled, save the settings and exit the Divi Visual Builder. Now you will see the Cloudflare Turnstile feature within the form.
