How To Set Up Google reCAPTCHA v2 Checkbox In Divi Contact Form Helper
1. Install The Divi Contact Form Helper Plugin
To enable Google reCAPTCHA v2 checkbox, you’ll first need to install and activate the Divi Contact Form Helper plugin. This plugin adds essential features to the default Divi Contact Form, including various spam protection options like Google reCAPTCHA, making your forms much more secure.
Most of our regular readers are already using the plugin or are part of the Divi Adventure Club Membership, but if you haven’t installed it yet, I encourage you to check out everything the plugin has to offer.
2. Get Your Google reCAPTCHA v2 Keys
To start using Cloudflare Turnstile, you’ll need to obtain your site key and secret key. Follow these steps:
- Visit the Google reCAPTCHA website and log in with your Google account.
- Click on Get Started and register your website for reCAPTCHA v2.
- Make sure to select the “reCAPTCHA v2 – I’m not a robot” checkbox option.
- Once registered, Google will generate a site key and secret key for your website.
- Copy both keys for use in the next step.
3. Enter Your reCAPTCHA Keys In Divi Theme Options
Once you have created your Google reCAPTCHA keys, you can also add them to the Divi Theme Options to apply the protection globally to all easily enable as needed in any Contact Form on your site. Copy the site key and secret key one at a time and paste into the Divi Contact Form Helper settings.
Go to your WordPress dashboard and navigate to Divi > Theme Options>Divi Contact Form Helper. Select the Spam Protection tab, and here, you’ll find fields to enter the Google reCAPTCHA Site Key and Google reCAPTCHA Secret Key. Paste the keys you copied from Google into these fields and click Save Changes to apply the settings globally across your site.
4. Enable Google reCAPTCHA v2 Checkbox in Each Contact Form Module
Once your keys are saved in the plugin settings in Divi Theme Options, you’ll need to activate the Google reCAPTCHA v2 checkbox setting within each Divi Contact Form module individually. To do so, go to any page where you have a Divi Contact Form module and open the settings. Scroll down to the Spam Protection toggle and enable the Use Google reCAPTCHA v2 setting.
Once the feature is enabled, save the settings and exit the Divi Visual Builder. You will then see the Google reCAPTCHA v2 checkbox feature within the form the frontend.
