Why Choose Google reCAPTCHA v2 Checkbox?

Google reCAPTCHA v2 is one of the most popular spam protection tools, and for good reason. Here’s why many users prefer it:

  • Proven Effectiveness: It has been around for years and is highly reliable at identifying and blocking spam bots.
  • Simple User Interaction: The v2 checkbox simply asks users to check a box confirming they’re human, making it quick and easy for users.
  • Widely Supported: Many users are familiar with it, and it integrates seamlessly with websites.

How To Set Up Google reCAPTCHA v2 Checkbox In Divi Contact Form Helper

1. Install The Divi Contact Form Helper Plugin

To enable Google reCAPTCHA v2 checkbox, you’ll first need to install and activate the Divi Contact Form Helper plugin. This plugin adds essential features to the default Divi Contact Form, including various spam protection options like Google reCAPTCHA, making your forms much more secure.

Most of our regular readers are already using the plugin or are part of the Divi Adventure Club Membership, but if you haven’t installed it yet, I encourage you to check out everything the plugin has to offer.

3. Enter Your reCAPTCHA Keys In Divi Theme Options

Once you have created your Google reCAPTCHA keys, you can also add them to the Divi Theme Options to apply the protection globally to all easily enable as needed in any Contact Form on your site. Copy the site key and secret key one at a time and paste into the Divi Contact Form Helper settings.

Go to your WordPress dashboard and navigate to Divi > Theme Options>Divi Contact Form Helper.  Select the Spam Protection tab, and here, you’ll find fields to enter the Google reCAPTCHA Site Key and Google reCAPTCHA Secret Key. Paste the keys you copied from Google into these fields and click Save Changes to apply the settings globally across your site.

4. Enable Google reCAPTCHA v2 Checkbox in Each Contact Form Module

Once your keys are saved in the plugin settings in Divi Theme Options, you’ll need to activate the Google reCAPTCHA v2 checkbox setting within each Divi Contact Form module individually. To do so, go to any page where you have a Divi Contact Form module and open the settings. Scroll down to the Spam Protection toggle and enable the Use Google reCAPTCHA v2 setting.

Once the feature is enabled, save the settings and exit the Divi Visual Builder. You will then see the Google reCAPTCHA v2 checkbox feature within the form the frontend.
