The Problem With The Default WordPress Password Screen
The default WordPress password screen works, but it was never designed to fit naturally into modern Divi websites. It works – but it’s ugly, and unprofessional. The text can’t be customized, the input field or button can’t be styled, and the button is awkwardly on the next line rather than inline. You get what you see, and nothing more. It’s not a good user experience.
The default experience simply feels unfinished.

Replace The Default Password Screen With A Divi Layout
After installing Divi Assistant, go to the WordPress dashboard to Pee-Aye Creative > Divi Assistant Maintenance Helper > Password Protection.
The main feature allows you to replace the default WordPress password screen with a custom Divi Library layout. Instead of showing the standard WordPress form, visitors will see your own custom-designed layout whenever they try to access protected content.
Create Divi Library Layout For Password Page
After enabling the feature in Divi Assistant, the key step is to create a new layout in the Divi Library and add the Password module to the layout. This is the actual “page” someone will see when they try to visit a password-protected page. Our plugin displays it to them instead of the default layout.
Create A Fully Custom Password Experience
Using a Divi Library layout means you are no longer limited to a plain password form. Because this uses the Divi Builder, you have full control over the design, spacing, branding, messaging, and overall experience. You can add logos, instructions, background images, videos, calls to action, or anything else supported by Divi.
This makes it possible to create a much more polished and professional experience for visitors accessing protected content.
Use The New Password Module In Divi
To make this possible, Divi Assistant adds a dedicated Password module directly into the Divi Builder. This module handles the password entry form inside your custom layout, allowing visitors to enter the password and continue to the protected content.
Since it works like a normal Divi module, you can place and style it however you want within your layout.
Select The Divi Library Layout
Once the layout is complete, don’t forget to go to the settings in Divi Assistant and select the Divi Library layout in the “Password Protection Layout” dropdown.
Save your changes, and from that point on, WordPress password-protected pages will automatically use your custom Divi layout instead of the default password screen.

The Password Protection Layout setting includes a convenient edit button that lets you quickly open and modify the selected Divi Library layout whenever changes are needed.
