How To Fix The Random Divi Text Editor Visual Tab HTML Issue

Nelson Miller Profile Orange
In this tutorial i will show you how to fix the random HTML issue in the Visual tab of the Divi text editor.

▶️ Please watch the video above to get all the exciting details! 👆

The Problem

Here is how the text editor looks when you face this issue. The Visual tab changes to this small, odd, HTML box. Normally the HTML is in the Text tab, so you know immediately that something is wrong.

This is how it should look, and how it will look for you in about 10 seconds:

It’s Cache.

Just clear your cache. While in the Visual Builder, press Control/Shift/R to do a hard refresh. The builder will reload, and the issue should be cleared. If not, try exiting the builder, do another hard refresh, then open the builder again. If it still is not resolved, follow the steps in the tutorial linked below.

All done.

When I create a LIST with HTML ((li>) with Visual enabled and Design Text window open – after I save it, WP or Divi changes it and all of a sudden there are 4 ul’s and many and where I did not put them! I go back to change it and then it changes it again. I do not want to do lists in the CSS window, because I MUST see what I am doing… ? Any ideas?

      Hi Kathryn!

Please note that you’re trying to add the HTML to the visual tab. Please add the HTML in the text tab which is along the visual tab.

Let me know if it helps!

I also noticed that after pasting my formicator code, it does not show on the builder but will show in real-time on the site
