I know it’s bad practice to have video background enabled on mobile. But some clients really like it! Do you know if it can be done in Divi? Love your tutorials!

So, what do you think about audio? I found your tut here linked from a Facebook group I’m in. I want to do this very thing with audio, not video.

My output for a file looks like this though: https://drive.google.com/file/d/16JczX7SSttYdOiYOAm2zEB-AVvJP5e4Z/

No “open” to replace with “uc” here. Any ideas?

Hi Nelson,

My link opens fine in the browser, but when I insert the url into the Video Module, I have this message:
“drive.google.com refused to connect” along with a sad emoticon.

The drive video link works when shared inserted within an email etc, so looks like my Divi account is having an issue, connecting with my Drive account….any tips?

Hi Nelson,

Thanks for this article and for your help! I am afraid I have to report I am having the exact same issue. The video box appears, but nothing plays (0:00 timing). Also, attempting to open the “uc” link with the browser gives me only an option to download the file as too big to be scanned for viruses (370MB). Is this expected?

Thanks.

How do you avoid bandwidth limits with GoogleDrive? IE the error message:

“Sorry, you can’t view or download this file at this time.

Too many users have viewed or downloaded this file recently. Please try accessing the file again later. If the file that you are trying to access is particularly large or is shared with many people, it may take up to 24 hours to be able to view or download the file. If you still can’t access a file after 24 hours, contact your domain administrator.”

Google has changed the way this works anymore, based upon what I’m experiencing. I received the notice “drive.google.com refused to connect”. These are the steps I took: 1) Right clicked on the file 2) Clicked “Get shareable link” option 3) Option set to ‘Anyone with the link: Anyone on the internet with this link can view’ 4) URL included the “https://drive.google.com/file/d/…” in the URL 5) Copied 6) Went to Video module > Desktop 7) Insert from URL > pasted 8) Error message in response: “drive.google.com refused to connect” It seems to me that Google has changed their methods since the… Read more »

Thanks for all your great tutorials. So, I managed to add videos from my google to my divi website. I know you mentioned it doesn’t work anymore. I’m not very good at code and don’t know how I sound right now but is there a way to not show the preview button at the top right and just watch it on the screen? If that is possible then people won’t be able to download it.
