Family News
Tashia and I celebrated 10 years since we started our relationship. I tell you what, guys, it’s great to be married to someone who says, “Hey, it’s our dating anniversary, let’s go to Mission BBQ for a date night.” And there were a few thrift store dates (I hate the smell of thrift stores, but it’s Tashia’s love language). We attended the World Horse Expo, since Tashia’s sister does a demonstration there (she’s kind of famous in the horsemanship world). The girls are pretty much indoctrinated by their aunt to be horse lovers, so they loved it. We had several friends over this month to play Ticket To Ride and hang out, and I just purchased the Pennsylvania version, which I am very excited to play. I’ve been enjoying honing my chef skills, and this month, I mastered homemade egg and einkorn noodles. The girls are at that stage where they love playgrounds, so we try to head to a local park whenever the evening weather is lovely, and we got to throw a few discs to warm up for disc golf. We had a fun family day in the sun, climbing around on the rocks, boulders, and caves at Devil’s Den in Gettysburg.
Divi News
In March, Elegant Themes released full site editing, which was coined as a new feature, but was actually available in Divi 4, so I thought that was a bit odd. They also released composable settings, which let you access full design settings for module sub-elements.
Did you all notice the changelog for Divi 5? They are adding some advanced AI Agent capabilities very soon, with the foundation already in place.
- Added centralized OpenAI model creation utility with shared type definitions for improved AI agent configuration and type safety.
- Added AI Agent icon to the Divi 5 Builder Toolbar, gated behind the AI Agent experiment feature flag.
- Added the initial Divi AI Agent package scaffold and supporting Visual Builder metadata for future AI Agent development.
Now that Divi 5 is officially here, the Elegant Themes team is focusing on stability by fixing bugs and making the migration smoother.Â
If you are feeling stressed about the Divi migration process, check out our Divi 4 to Divi 5 Trail Guide, a series of articles that guides you through this change.
PSA: If you have not migrated yet, I have a surprise free Divi Migration Helper plugin coming very soon that you may want to wait for and utilize.Â
Product News
Here is all the product news for this month!Â
Divi Tabs Maker – Compatible With Divi 5!
We’ve been working hard to update our plugins for Divi 5, and we’re stoked to announce that Divi Tabs Maker is now fully compatible!🎉
NEW: Instantly See When Content Differs Across Breakpoints
It can be difficult to know when content has been changed on different breakpoints in Divi 5, but this new feature in our Divi Responsive Helper plugin solves this by adding a responsive indicator with a detailed tooltip that shows exactly which fields differ and what content is set on each breakpoint.
NEW: Automatically Scale Text Across All Screen Sizes In Divi 5
Setting responsive text sizes that scale properly across breakpoints and modules in Divi 5 is complicated, repetitive, and time-consuming, but this new feature in our Divi Responsive Helper plugin solves this by automatically creating fluid typography that smoothly scales your headings and body text across all screen sizes.
Extend The Power Of Fluent Plugins
We are hard at work developing new features for your favorite Fluent plugins. If you use plugins like FluentCRM, FluentCart, and FluentCommunity, you will appreciate the admin tools, automations, and marketing features we have been releasing with our FluentlyWP brand.
Check Out These 3 New Main Features
Scheduled Products allow automatic control over product visibility and availability, enabling scheduled launches, countdown timers, and automatic behavior changes. Limited Products set purchase caps, switch to sold-out status once limits are reached, and display custom messages or progress bars. We also introduced Floating Notifications, an upgrade to the Activity Indicators feature with real-time purchases as floating notifications that appear subtly in the corner of your site.
Behind The Scenes
Behind the scenes, I have been working tirelessly on our demo site, which is almost fully updated for Divi 5. At some point, we will start updating all docs to use screenshots and instructions from Divi 5, but that’s not a rush for me, as I still don’t see any urgency to migrate to Divi 5.
Speaking of migration, I would love for you to try our upcoming FREE Divi Migration Helper plugin, which we are currently finalizing. I will let you all know when this is available! It makes the process much clearer and walks you through step-by-step with tremendous clarity and detail, while keeping it simple and informative.
Divi Events Calendar is currently pending approval from Elegant Themes. Due to this, we no longer have any beta files available, as keeping them up to date gets super complicated when we’re back and forth with them. At this point, I strongly recommend waiting to upgrade a site using Divi Events Calendar until the 3.0.0 update is released. I’m surprised by how many people are trying to use the Divi 4 file in Divi 5; it simply won’t work well and will absolutely have many issues. While the events may display, you won’t be able to edit them, so please wait for the official release of 3.0.0 to use them on Divi 5.
We are super happy with the progress of Divi Carousel Maker. The bulk of the work has been completed. The hard part of development is always the migration, though. I hope we can have more good news on this next month.
As always, you can keep up to date on our dedicated Divi 5 page to see the status and notes about each plugin’s Divi 5 compatibility!
And yes, the multi-step form feature for Divi Contact Form Helper is a real thing. I know I keep teasing it, but I didn’t really know how massive a feature it really is. There will be major updates to this plugin coming along!
I can also tease that we are releasing advanced conditions in the Divi Dynamic Content Helper, so let me know which conditions you’d like added that are missing! Oh, and we just might be releasing a visual conditions feature 🙂Â
We are still trying to recover from the Divi 5 rebuilds, and to be perfectly honest, the cost is crippling me. I am pressing on, but super discouraged. I am open to suggestions. I think I need to find someone who can help ensure our plugins reach potential users who may not even know about us. If you know how to get the word out and have marketing expertise, let me know.
I hope you have an awesome April. Let me know if you need anything along the way, and we’ll all keep pressing on!
