Family News
November seems to have come and gone faster than ever, and I’m left wondering what we even did last month. Work was long and hard, but the Thanksgiving holiday gave time to reflect. I’m amazed at how much a thankful heart can change anything. When work is hard, when life is boring, when things are not moving forward, being thankful changes everything. We gathered for Thanksgiving with each of our extended families, which is always a highlight for us. Perhaps the craziest idea we ever had was getting an indoor sensory swing for the girls. I saw a deal for the stand and swing, and got it, and it has been the best investment. They have spent literally hours every day on it for the past month! When it’s freezing outside this winter, now they can enjoy that!
Divi News
There have not been any updates to Divi 4 since November 24, 2024.
Nick Roach has teased that he purchased divi.com and there will be a “Divi” rebrand coming. I assume that simply means getting away from the legacy “Elegant Themes” name which has not been very relevant since 2015 when page builders became a thing.
Elegant Themes has released several updates within the Divi 5 Public Beta. It was a rough start for sure, but it seems they are taking bugs somewhat seriously now. Elegant Themes released more feature updates this month, including:
Previous new features include Custom Breakpoints, Option Group Presets, Advanced Units, Design Variables, Nested Rows, Module Groups, Attribute Management, Settings Search and Filtering, Extend Attributes, Interactions, Relative Colors, Find And Replace, Flexbox Layouts, Loop Builder, Responsive Editor, and Group Carousel, Lotti Module, and Icon List Module, CSS Grid, Woo Cart and Checkout Modules, Custom Attributes, and Inspector.

New Tutorial
I noticed a lot of people asking for a way to import and export Divi 5 variables, and since we already have similar features for importing and exporting presets, global colors, settings, library layouts, theme options, customizer settings, etc. in Divi Assistant, it made sense to add this feature as well for the new Divi 5 variables. It’s super easy and convenient!

Behind The Scenes
Divi 5 Plugin Beta Progress!
November was all about working on the most complex part of the Divi 5 update process: migrations. Take Divi Contact Form Helper as an example of a job well done by my team. 1. We had to migrate the backend settings from Theme Options to our new interface. 2. We had to migrate the text settings in Theme Options to the module in various locations (it made more sense). 3. We had to migrate the custom settings in the module from Divi 4 to 5 (the absolutely hardest part). 4. We had to migrate our custom field types, like datepicker, file upload, etc., to the Divi “field type” dropdown (super nice now). So there are four migrations that happen. Phew! We worked on finalizing for weeks and have achieved what I consider perfection, which is incredible.
Next up for that migration process are Divi Search Helper and Divi Responsive Helper. At least one of those will be ready in December, maybe both, but we’ll keep going until we get them all done, with Divi Social Sharing Buttons soon after. Divi Tabs Maker will be ready very soon as well. Divi Events Calendar is very stable and good, but we have not started the migration yet. That means you can use it on new sites, but not when migrating from Divi 4 to 5 yet.
Most of our plugins are available for beta testing. Always check the notes in each plugin’s docs before beta testing. You can also check our dedicated Divi 5 page for information about each plugin’s status.
Let me repeat this…do you love our new Divi Builder Experience Helper? I should share some of your reactions. It was epic seeing your replies to my announcement! It’s fun when something works out well.
We have a sale only once per year, and that’s happening now! If you want to try the new Divi Builder Experience helper, Divi Assistant, or any of our other plugins or membership, now would be the time! The sale will end in a few days until next year.
