If you want to use and integrate The Events Calendar plugin with Divi, then you need the Divi Events Calendar plugin to add beautiful events to your website using Divi modules!
Our plugin, Divi Events Calendar, was created to bridge the gap between the Divi theme and the popular The Events Calendar plugin. While it is technically possible to use The Events Calendar with Divi, there are significant limitations:
- Limited Display Options: The Events Calendar has its own proprietary display, and the free version lacks shortcodes or any direct way to showcase events within the Divi Builder.
- No Styling or Customization: There’s no built-in ability to style or customize how events appear, nor can you integrate event displays into your Divi layouts.
- No Editable Event Pages: You can’t edit the event archive page or single event pages using the Divi Builder.
This is where our plugin comes in. We designed Divi Events Calendar to allow you to display and customize events from The Events Calendar directly within the Divi Builder using our custom Divi modules. Here’s what our plugin offers:
- Custom Event Modules: Our plugin includes several full-featured, custom Divi modules that you can add anywhere in the Divi Builder, just like any other module. These modules allow you to display events in grids, calendars, lists, and single event pages, all with extensive customization options.
- Integration with The Events Calendar: While The Events Calendar handles the creation and management of events, our plugin takes those event details and makes them accessible in the Divi Visual Builder. This allows you to display and style events exactly how you want.
- Flexible Display Options: Whether you want to showcase event feeds, create a calendar view, or display detailed information for single events, our modules give you complete control with all the settings you need.
- Dynamic Event Page Templates: One of the most powerful features of our plugin is the ability to create dynamic event page templates. You can design a single event page layout using our module and other Divi modules, and each time you create a new event, its details will automatically populate within your custom layout.
- Additional Features: We also offer a filter plugin that works with the feed module to let visitors filter events on the front end, a carousel module, and a ticket/RSVP module for those using The Events Calendar’s ticketing addon.
In summary: Without our plugin, you wouldn’t be able to display events in Divi or create your own layouts for event pages. How does it work?
What are the requirements?
This plugin requires the Divi Theme or Page Builder to be installed. And of course The Events Calendar needs to be installed and active first as well.
Our plugin vs. The Events Calendar?
Both our Divi Events Calendar and The Events Calendar go hand-in-hand together. The Events Calendar needs to be installed first for our Divi Events Calendar to work. This is because they work together and our plugin relies on theirs.
The Events Calendar is the core of the actual event info and management. Their plugin handles anything related to the events themselves, including anything related to tickets, payments, or other addons that they offer. Our Divi Events Calendar plugin adds new custom Divi event modules to the Divi Builder.
Our plugin modules pull in the data for the events and gives you the familiar Divi module interface with all our custom settings and features you need to display and style events in any Divi Builder layout.
Without our plugin, there is no way to use The Events Calendar in Divi. In fact, they don’t even offer shortcodes in their free version, so if you use Divi, our plugin is the only solution, and it’s a good one!
Keep in mind our modules are totally separate from anything their pro version has to display events. On any given page you can either use their display, or our modules. You can’t pick and choose which parts of their plugin and which parts of our modules you want on the same page.
Is this compatible with the Events Calendar PRO?
The original intent of our plugin was to make it easy to display events in Divi, not to make it work with every feature of their plugin. But we do continue to add features that users request.
Will this work with the Extra theme?
Will there be future updates and new features?
Yes, absolutely, we have been updating this plugin regularly, and will continue to do so. We have ideas for even more features in our plugin roadmap, and will definitely keep improving it. Support and updates are provided as needed. You will be notified of updates in your plugin admin area or occasionally by email if needed.
Which purchase option should I choose?

The Divi Events Calendar is a seamless solution for all of us who choose to design and build in Divi. Since trying your plugin I’m going to have to recommend they all ditch their “other” events plugins and use the events calendar and the Divi events module. Nelson Miller has come up with a superb plugin that gives you NEW DIVI MODULES to display calendar events entered into another third-party plugin. Instead of having to create calendar events in the non-Divi plugin, then figure out how to get those events onto your Divi posts and then style them, you can use the Divi modules you’re already familiar with. I am particularly impressed with two things in addition to the quality of this plugin: First, it’s a one-time price for lifetime support and upgrades, and NOT those pesky ongoing fees. This is a huge thing for me and I hope Nelson continues this policy. Second, as another reviewer has said, Nelson has incredible customer service, and interacts with his customers like real people and not like so many vendors do as though we are numbers on a spreadsheet. If you’ve been interacting with vendors even a fraction as long as I have, you understand how valuable this personal touch can be. Two thumbs up to Nelson and his plugin.

This is a very good start. The plugin has lots of potential and it’s very great how it plugs right into the Divi design ecosystem. There are a few things that are going to put this plugin on steroids, especially with introduction of Divi theme builder: a) the ability to add event search/filter capabilities on event archive themes b) links to categories and tags on the archive pages c) flexibility to add single event layouts.
If it were possible to add a sixth star, I would, due to the exceptional customer service that Nelson has provided and how responsive he has been to inquiries made. I look forward to seeing the plugin evolve!
